Ericsson and ITIDA Collaborate to Develop Egypt’s Digital Skills and ICT Industry

 Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) and the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA)

have signed a threeyear Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration and

advance Egypt’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and digital services industries

The signing took place under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister

of Egypt

Driving Digital Transformation and Technological Innovation

The MoU builds on Ericsson’s long-standing partnership with ITIDA to foster technological

innovation, enhance digital skills development, and create new opportunities for youth employment

This collaboration aligns with the Digital Egypt Strategy for Offshoring Industry 2022–2026, providing

a joint framework to expand ICT services across the country The partnership also supports potential

growth in areas such as engineering, research and development (R&D), Business Process Management

(BPM), and Knowledge Services (KS), contributing to a stronger local technology ecosystem

Programs for Skill Development and Youth Employment

As part of the MoU, Ericsson and ITIDA will collaborate on

Digital skills training programs for graduates, students, and young professionals

Organization of employment fairs and industry-focused events

University partnerships to support youth talent and prepare them for the digital economy

Previously, Ericsson and ITIDA have worked together on capacity-building initiatives and

seminars focused on emerging technologies, reinforcing their commitment to developing

Egypt’s tech talent

Egypt as a Global Digital Services Hub
