The Knowledge Summit 2025 will officially open tomorrow, Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The event is held under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President

and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), in partnership with the United

Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the two-day summit is positioned as a global platform for advancing

sustainable knowledge ecosystems.

A Major Milestone Celebrating a Decade of Global Knowledge Leadership

This tenth edition marks a strategic milestone in the summit’s decade-long journey. Over the years, the Knowledge Summit has

reinforced its reputation as an international platform that brings together decision-makers, policymakers, experts, and

Launch of the Updated Global Knowledge Index 2025

A central pillar of the summit is the launch of the updated 2025 edition of the Global Knowledge Index (GKI).

This year’s edition incorporates methodological improvements, updated statistical weights, and newly added

sub-indices to ensure more precise measurement and enhanced comparability among countries.

The enhanced GKI is expected to better reflect countries’ knowledge readiness and provide a more comprehensive

framework for understanding global knowledge capabilities.
