ITIDA Launches Nationwide Summer Internship Program to Train 10,000 Students in Emerging Technologies and Digital Arts

The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has launched a nationwide summer internship program targeting 10,000 students across Egypt, in partnership with NTI and Systel. The initiative aims to equip youth with future-ready skills in ICT, digital arts, and telecommunications.

 The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has officially launched an expanded edition of its nationwide summer internship program, aimed at training over 10,000 university students in emerging technologies and digital arts. The initiative, held in partnership with the National Telecommunications Institute (NTI) and Systel, the sole authorized distributor for Motorola Solutions in Egypt, aligns with Egypt’s national digital transformation strategy and commitment to building a future-ready workforce.

A National Drive to Upskill Egypt’s Youth

As part of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s (MCIT) long-term vision, the internship program targets students from faculties such as engineering, computer science, business information systems, media, fine and applied arts, and art education. This move supports Egypt’s strategy to upskill over 500,000 professionals by 2025 in high-demand fields like AI, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and digital marketing.

With over 760,000 annual university graduates, including 50,000 ICT graduates and 171,000 finance and accounting graduates, Egypt boasts one of the most diverse and capable multilingual talent pools in the MENA region.

Industry-Aligned Curriculum with Practical Training Tracks

The ITIDA internship program has been redesigned to meet the current and future needs of both local and international labor markets. Each participant will receive 120 hours of training, comprising:

        90 hours of technical training in specialized fields30 hours of workplace readiness training, including soft skills development and freelancing fundamentals

The training is delivered in collaboration with NTI and offered in both online and in-person formats through NTI campuses and Creativa Innovation Hubs across multiple governorates.

Specialized Internship Tracks in Emerging Tech and Digital Arts

Participants can choose from eight professional training tracks, including:

Cybersecurity

Software Development and UI/UX Design

Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence

Cloud Computing

Systems Administration

Electronics

Digital Arts

Digital Marketing

These tracks are tailored for students in their first to third academic years, ensuring early exposure to key digital skills.

Discounted International Certifications for Students

Students enrolled in the program will gain access to up to 70% discounts on international certification exams via NTI. This benefit enhances their competitiveness in both local and global job markets, making them more attractive to employers seeking certified professionals in emerging technologies.

Specialized Telecom Training with Systel and Motorola Solutions

In addition to the national program, ITIDA has partnered with Systel—a leading provider of mission-critical communications solutions in Egypt—for a specialized telecom internship track targeting 250 students annually. The hands-on training includes:

Microwave and Broadband Communications

Fiber Optic Technologies

Surveillance and Security Systems

Satellite Communications

Public Safety Networks

The technical component of this track is fully sponsored by Systel as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), while ITIDA covers the non-technical training focused on soft skills.

Driving Egypt’s Position as a Digital Services Hub

This internship initiative is a core element of ITIDA’s strategic vision to position Egypt as a regional leader in digital services and a global destination for IT and business process outsourcing (BPO). By empowering youth with in-demand digital skills and providing pathways to industry certifications, the program strengthens Egypt’s human capital and digital economy.
